"the Louvre is Jealous" Musée d'Orsay Tip by cpiers47

For amazing slightly more modern art, the Orsay is a great compliment to the Louvre. It's much smaller than its famous neighbor and certainly more accessible. If you just have a couple hours - or are wondering what to do on a rainy afternoon - anyone with even a passing interest in art should head to this museum.

We especially enjoyed Gaugin's Tahitian women and some of the other rooms upstairs. We entered not long before closing but were able to see quite a bit and enjoyed the thinning crowds.
