"Basic but comfortable" Travelodge Kingston Upon Thames Tip by glittergal4091

Travelodge Kingston Upon Thames, Kingston upon Thames: 206 reviews and 0 photos

I stayed in this hotel for a few nights at the end of October, 2007. It's in a good location being only a few minutes' walk from Kingston's train station and within easy reach of the shops. The staff could've been more helpful - on check-in I was presented with a card and told which room I was in, but no-one mentioned that I'd have to use the card to make the lift move...
The room was nice and spacious - tea and coffee facilities were provided as well as a bath and a decent shower.
There is a vending machine in the foyer for forgotten essentials and midnight snacks, although there are a number of fast food places around as well as restaurants, although I didn't sample those.
Next door is the Oceana nightclub, which didn't disturb me at all and my first night was Hallowe'en, which was obviously quite busy.
All in all, this is exactly what you'd expect from a Travelodge. A good place to stay for a few nights but not exactly a home from home for those longer trips.
