"St Stephen's Basilica" St. Stephen's Basilica - Szt Istvan Bazilika Tip by rcsparty

The square in front of St Stephen's is a great place to start your admiration of the church. It is a wide open space, with great angles for photo's. A walk through the Basilica is well worth the time, as the inside is as beautiful as the outside. The church contains the unusual artifact of St Stephens mummified right hand. It is also worth a trip to the top of the cupola, if it is a clear day. The entrance is to the right of the main doors, as you approach the church. The church was finished in 1905, after being started in the 1850's. Part of the delay attributed to the cupola's collapse in 1868.
