This is a nondescript hotel in an ugly street, but the woman who runs it is very nice, the rooms are fine and it has a very convenient location only half a block from the theater in one direction and a block from the adult education center in the other direction.

I booked online through HRS.de, and paid EUR 44 for a single room including breakfast.

Unique Qualities:

The one unusual thing I noticed is that when parents are staying here to visit their children who are studying at the University of Applied Sciences (Fachhochschule), the woman who runs the hotel offers to let the children come over in the morning and have a free breakfast. (This assumes that the parents are staying in the hotel and the children in their dorms or residence halls or wherever.)
