Casa Capşa is Bucharest's most beautiful old hotel although I have heard that its service is not very good. It was built in 1886 and in 1908 it was named as one of the best hotels in the world by John Bull magazine. It is named after its original owner, Grigore Capşa, who made his fortune as a pastry chef in Paris. The Peasant Party members used to meet here, which led to it being nicknamed the Bicameral Parliament.

Address: Calea Victoriei 36
Directions: It is directly opposite the Capitol Hotel on Calea Victoriei
