From October to February is hunting season, for Sanglier - Wild Boar.

These are not cute little piggies, but are rather on the large side and could easily right your car off.

Sangliers are mainly seen at night, and if you want to know why the French in this region drive in the centre of the road, it is because they have a better chance of avoiding these animals.

This particular Sanglier is called Lydia and is around two years old in this photo. Her love in life are sugar lumps.
