Dining room where Final Solution was discussed
by trvlrtom

A mansion at a beautiful lakeside setting was the location of the Wannsee Conference, where the decision to murder the European Jews was made. Documents and photos are the primary artifacts here that detail the steps leading up to the "The Final Solution", the decision to deport the Jews of Europe to the East for extermination.

This is a sobering exhibit that may leave you feeling downhearted. A short walk away you can sit in a cafe on the lakeside to contemplate it all.
