Posa's-El Merendero: "Traditional and Tasty" Santa Fe Restaurant Tip by uaamom

Santa Fe Restaurants: 140 reviews and 140 photos

Posa's makes great tamales, Frito pies and burritos. When I have out of town guests, especially people who have moved away from the Southwest, they appreciate the good food and I appreciate the easy meal to carry out and eat at home with our own cold beer or lemonade. They have 2 restaurants where you can pick up or eat in but the eat in is sort of cold and not comfortable.
The food is dependable, the prices are reasonable and there is something for everyone, from spicy to mild.

Favorite Dish: Basic pork and red chile tamales with sides of beans, rice and posole.
They also have menudo but they put red chile in it and I prefer the clean classic variety we had in Tucson, served with wedges of lemon and red chile sauce and bolillos on the side.

Address: Zafarano or Rodeo Rd

The other is next to Albertson's in the shopping center on Zafarano.
