Of course the main attraction of Lalibella (or even Ethiopia) are the churches built long time ago - between 7 & 12th centuries. All of them are carved out rocks and still are used today for church services. It is a UNESCO heritage site and at the moment filled with scaffoldings to stop the rain water ruining the churches any further.
