Applebees provides a bright eating area with smiling servers. The wait for a table on a busy evening can be 15 minutes because customers get comfortable in their booths and tend to sit and chat over dessert. I know we do.

The seating is comfortable; the environ is clean; there are plenty of knick-knacks on the wall to discuss. After you get seated by the hostess, the waitress takes your order for apettizers and Applebees has some good ones (spicy buffalo wings, onion rings and a 5-in1 sampler).
It only takes about 5 minutes to get your drink and appetizers so you best be reading the menu to make your decision before the waitress gets away to another table.

If I am going to have dessert (which we usually do here), I tend to eat a bit lighter. The chicken fingers platter with honey mustard sauce and side salad is normally a good choice. My wife eats a bit more hearty, like the bbq ribs platter with fries and cole slaw. After the meal we usually split one of there ice cream and pie desserts. The apple crunch is a great choice.

The tab normally costs between $15 and $20 per person and you usually have a doggy bag to go too.
