Island Shangri-La Hong Kong: "Heaven on a stick" China Hotel Tip by pete75

Sublime accommodation. From the outset, you are lavished with luxury and charmed by impeccable service. Our room had an awe inspiring view of Kowloon and the harbour. At night, the view was delightful. During the day, impressive. The room itself is contemporary. It oozes style and class.

The hotel has a number of fine food outlets. Think some of the best Japanese you have tasted and you have Nadaman. An exquisite Japanese restaurant. The lobby was nothing special but it still retained the overall feel of exceptional luxury.

On the downside; well the price! It is very expensive but then again, this is the Ace of spades when it comes to expensive real estate. At USD350 per night, a lengthy stay will see you checking in with the bank manager. Needless to say, those extras also add up quickly.

Unique Qualities: The beds. Yes, outstandingly comfy. The duvet (or doona) depending on which part of the world you hail from; was special.

Address: Admiralty
Price Comparison: more expensive than average
Directions: Next to Central
Price: US$120-180
Theme: Hotel
