"Inside the houses" Cloppenburg Favorite Tip by Mariajoy

Favorite thing: Inside the little country houses, visitors can see "how they used to live" - as everything has been carefully reconstructed, whether it was a lowly farmworker's dwelling or a rich manor house.

I found the little cupboard beds complete with fluffy duvets fascinating - there was no way they could ever lay out straight in their beds.. they were just too small... but as they were only cupboards they were very convenient space savers in those tiny cottages.
Many of the farm cottages were actually attached to stables or stalls for pigs/cattle etc which meant the animals could be attended to without the farmer and his wife having to go outside in bad weather.

Of course the buildings have been reconstructed exactly as they were which meant there was no lighting, and that made it difficult to take pictures in some places.
