Strictly speaking, this is nearer Silsden than Skipton but only having a Skipton page, it will do on here.

Actually only about 5 miles from the centre of Skipton, it's a great site for a get away from it all feeling being way up in the wilds, but still within easy reach of the nearby towns.

We hadn't booked this site, just phoned on the off chance there would be a pitch, as many sites were fully booked, being half term. Yes, pitches available, some hard ground for the motorhome and newly installed electricity. Great!!! We were actually the only occupants the first night, only joined by one other caravan the following night. Couldn't understand why, the site even had a toilet. The views down into the valleys were wonderful, especially early in the mornings when the mist was rising from the fields.

Unique Qualities: Wonderfully quiet, rural setting and resident chickens!!! Oh, and a farm dog for hoovering your bits of grisley meat!!!

We were charged £6 a night, including electricity, which was a better deal than the other two sites we had been on.

Address: Lower Heights Farm, Horn Lane, Bradley Rd, Silsden, Keighley, West Yorks.
Price Comparison: least expensive
Directions: From A6034 at Silsden, take Bradley Road NW. for 1.5 miles. Site on left. We came in from Skipton and turned left at Low Bradley and the site is aprox. 4 miles up here.
