"Learn about the Belgian Jewish Community" Information & Sources Tip by DanielF

Information & Sources, Brussels: 28 reviews and 72 photos

Although possibly not as visible as in Antwerp, where Jews control a large part of the diamond business, there is a significant Jewish community in Brussels as well. Their main centre of cult, the Grande Synagogue of Brussels, enjoys a privileged position in one of the most monumental streets of the European capital - the Regency Street. This Neo-Byzantine construction dates back to the XIX century and has richly decorated interiors.

Not far away from here, on Minimes Street, you can also visit the Jewish Museum of Belgium, if you are interested in the history of the influential Jewish community in Belgium.
