Brasserie Le Coq: "Brasserie Le Coq - near the Eiffel Tower" Paris Restaurant Tip by sue_stone

Lunch time near the Eiffel Tower. You know you are in for a pricy, and potentially touristy meal. We headed across to the Trocadero as I knew there were a few restaurants to choose from there. It was my parents first meal in Paris, and Dad wanted to try a simple Croque Madame.

We checked out the menu at a couple of the places and settled on the trendy looking Brasserie Le Coq. This is actually quite a large restaurant with a heated terrace at the front where we chose to sit. Service was a little impatient, but it was a busy lunch time and there were more important people to deal with.

Favorite Dish: Feeling very much like the tourists we were, we all ordered Croque Madame's and a glass of wine or beer. The food appeared promptly, and although it was decent quality and tasted fine, it wasn't worth the 12 euro price tag. Oh well, that's what you get for eating in prime tourist locations!
