ABOUT THE INSTRUCTIONS ON SAFE TRAIN TRAVEL

Here are some advice from the Railway Police and State Railway of Thailand. If you happen to take the train during your holidays, have a look, it may help you sometimes.

PRECAUTION TO AVOID CRIMINALS

Keep valuable personal belongings out of sight while traveling.

Do not wear valuable items which are exposed to the public while traveling.

Do not stick your arm or part of your body with valuable items out of train, you can be snatched while the train leaves the station.

Do not consume free food or drink from strangers because you can be drugged and robbed.

Keep personal belongings near you as you sleep. Do not leave windows open to avoid burglary while you're asleep.

Do not leave your belongings with strangers. Accepting things from strangers may get you convicted.

Beware of persons identifying themselves as authorities of the State Railway of Thailand. They may mislead and persuade you to use other modes of transport. They may also give incorrect information.
