As I said in my intro, Brussels consists of several municipalities ("communes") so it helps to know which one you are in when strolling around. When you have walked around for a while you will have spotted that different communes have different street signs and most include the name of the commune. These communes all cooperate in a Greater Brussels manner so you can read more on the website below if you are curious as to how it all works. Having said this, they do not cooperate on everything so if you end up LIVING here you will soon find different cable TV companies, garbage handling and all sorts in the different communes.
