Thai Chicken Soup in Coconut Milk (Tom Kha Gai) is the second most popular thai spicy soup for foreigners in Bangkok. It is a hot sweet soup made with coconut milk, lemon grass and chicken. The name literally translates to boiled galangal chicken. The fried chillies add a smoky flavor as well as texture, color and heat, but not so much that it. tom yam takes on a fiery heat and slight sourness from the addition of tamarind chili sauce (nam prik phao), while tom kha gai is silky smooth because of the inclusion of sweet and mellow coconut milk. It costs about 40-50 Baht at Street Stalls, 60 Baht at Tuk Lae Dee Restaurant at Foodland Supermarkets and 65 Baht at food courts.
