"The Gold and the Garden" Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion) Tip by Gryphon25

Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion), Kyoto: 86 reviews and 185 photos

The Golden Pavalion is truly an amazing sight. It does not seem crass at all. It looks beautiful reflecting the sun or been reflected in the pond. Take a walk around the pond and see the Pavalion peak through the trees.
The top two levels are coated in gold leaf and get recoated every once and a while.
Price of admission is Y 400
