Praca dos Restauradores, Lisbon: 24 reviews and 44 photos

Rossio - Praça Dom Pedro IV
by Birsen

This isthe busiest part of the city, especially the central squares of Rossio and Praça da Figueria. Totally rebuilt after the earthquake of 1775, the area was one of Europe's first examples of town planning. Today, the large Neo- Classical buildings on the wide streets and squares house business offices. The atmosphere and surroundings are best absorbed from one of the busy pavement cafes. Rua da Portas de Santo Antao, a pedestrianized street where restaurants display tanks to live lobsters, is more relaxing for a stroll.

Address: Praça Restauradores, 1250-096 Lisboa
