"Getting around by bus & tube & train - cheaper!" Oyster Cards / Travelcards Tip by feag

Oyster Cards / Travelcards, London: 162 reviews and 101 photos

If you plan to travel around the capital by bus train or tube or all 3! then purchase something called an OYSTER CARD which is available from newsagents and train stations. It is a card that you show on the bus or train or tube and it deducts money from it (you add money to card upon buying it - for example 5 or 10) and each journey you do deducts the money from it (the fare) and bus fares are 90p instead of 2.00 when not using an oyster card. You do not have to be british to purchase one - they are intended for locals & tourists alike.

so go buy one when you come & visit!
