One of the great things about NYC are its many street festivals, and the San Gennaro is one of the "oldest, biggest and best religious street festival in NYC"
This festival is an annual salute to the Patron Saint of Naples and some of the festivities included religious processions and parades, free entertainment, food stands and of course merchants selling their wares. You can also purchase many Italian related objects like flags, shirts, mugs, etc.
Its a great way to spend a day.
