Regency Inn and Suites: "Worst Hotel in Chicago" Chicago Hotel Tip by Thommmo56

Chicago Hotels: 477 reviews and 535 photos

Having spent 25 years traveling around the world, I have never staying in such a lousy hotel. The room stunk from stale body odour and cigarettes, supposedly a non smoking room. Room a/c, might have camped in the middle of the freeway it was that noisy, Manager "Sunny" was the rudest scumbag I have ever met, after waiting over an hour for a cab, the receptionist offered to drop us at the nearest rail station approx 3 miles away, she asked him to mind the desk for a few minutes and he flatly refused, there was some argument about so called free shuttle service to the airport, forget it, this is a con, every excuse about the bus being broken down or had a flat or had no fuel.. do better in the park.

I will also add, that to get a cab here is an invitation to be ripped off. We were told that a cab fare from Ohare should be around the $20 - $25 mark, we were stung 40 on both ocassions.

Stay away......

It ain't worth a dime....

Also might add....the manager was putting up the prices as the hotel filled up, we checked in at 11am and the price was $69, by 10pm they were charging $100 for the same room, there appeared to have been a shortage of Hotels in Chicago at the time we were staying there.

One last mention, Tammy get out of there, they arn't worth it

Unique Qualities: Smell
Rude Managers
Noisy A/C

Should I continue...
