Casa Colorada is a historical building that has housed this museum since 1981. It was built in 1769 by a Spaniard Josheph de la Vega in a light colonial architectural style. There are paintings and dioramas depicting the city history. Dioramas are three dimensional representations of historical city life events. There are also traditional costumes and dresses. It is located near the Plaza de Armas, on 860 Merced str., in the block by San Antonio and Paseo Estado.
