"Tangier/Tanger" Morocco Things to Do Tip by blint

Morocco Things to Do: 725 reviews and 1,654 photos

Many people come to Morocco for the weekend and spending all there time here. Others use Tangier as a mere arrival point from Spain and catch the next bus or a taxi out of there as soon as possible in search of a less tourist filled spot, as did I.

Here you will even find an ample supply of discos and clubs which are obviously only there for the the tourists.

Although I have only just finished saying it is saturated with tourists, tourist information is hard to come by and many people have no clue where things are in there own city.

People even told me there was no bus station which isn't true. It is located about 20 mins walking out of town. From the port, walk along the seafront heading away from the medina and turn right at the sign. Go over the roundabout and carry on and you will come to it in the left hand side.

Sorry I can't tell you much more about Tangier, only that you will see many people trying to stow themselves away on the international buses (in the hold) or try to sneak onto the Spain bound ferry.

Tangier is big and not very pretty outside the centre, I didn't get to the old part which undoubtedly is the nicest part.

Look at my transportation tips to see more info about getting in and out of tangier.

Directions: The nearest point between Africa and Europe. Only 35 mins by ferry from Spain.
