National Archives - Országos Levéltár, Budapest: 10 reviews and 29 photos
On the 3rd floor wich is quite similar to the second (also this has a ceiling with cassettes) was decorated to commemorate the XIX.century.
On the left there is the Count Széchényi, who commissioned the construction of the Chain Bridge.
On the opposite side of the floor we see the scene when the first big hospital is beeng built. We still see the poor conditions of the ill people, but also the hospital under contruction, wich offers a better cure.
The most famous fresco, wich at the same time also the funniest is on this floor: it represents the construction of the Hungraian State Opera House. The painter, Károly Lotz is still painting the ceilings, and Miklós Ybl (the architect) is drawing the plans, while Ferenc Erkel (hungarian composer) is already directing a musical piece and Ferenc Liszt (Franz Liszt) is playing the piano.
