"Trinity-Bellwoods" Toronto Things to Do Tip by mikey_e

Trinity-Bellwoods is a beautifully maintained and very peaceful park in the heart of Queen West West (see my tip on that neighbourhood). The most striking part of the park is probably the very English gates on Queen Street West that lead into the main walkway for the gardens. The park has paths for walking, jogging and bike riding, as well as tennis courts and playgrounds for the little ones. Dogs are also very, very welcome at Trinity Bellwoods, and you're very likely to meet more than a few playful pooches off their leashes while you walk around. There are also plenty of squirrels, but they shouldn't bother you too much. The park has cultural events throughout the year, like the Trinity-Bellwoods Art Show (on in September), but its greatest draw for visitors is the fact that it is CLEAN and SAFE! Yes, unlike parks like Queens Park you needn't fear garbage or shattered bottles nor is there an abundance of young students smoking up in the evening or panhandlers during the day. From what I've seen, kids have a blast here, so if you're looking for something both parents and children can enjoy without costing too much, Trinity-Bellwoods might be just the place for you.
Address: Queen West
Directions: Take the Queen street car west past Bathurst a few blocks
