"I'm not sure how many tourists..." Toronto Off The Beaten Path Tip by james_sinton

Toronto Off The Beaten Path: 335 reviews and 496 photos

I'm not sure how many tourists (or locals for that matter) ever end up taking a trip to the TORONTO ISLANDS. A 15-min ferry ride from the Terminal at Bay & Queen's Quay gets you to the green filled islands. You get a smog-free atmosphere with some great views of the city skyline. My suggestion is taking the ferry to Ward's Island, touring the village of cottages (with only bike and pedestrian paths as 'roads'), then walking west towards Centre Island. The walk can be completed in an hour, with another ferry at Centre Island to take you back to the city. The ferry ride is $5 round trip (you only pay leaving the city).
