"Accommodation is a..." Hong Kong Hotel Tip by smithsgen

Accommodation is a BIIIIIIIIIIG problem for ppl travelling on a tight budget. When i was there, there was only one option in the centre; a hellhole and firetrap named Chunking Manisons in Kowloon. I'm not sure if it exists anymore. I stayed in a hostel on a hilltop on the west of the island. It was annoyingly uncentral. There were mad dogs on the way up. The matresses were plain hardwood. The other guests were supersnoring, noisy, spoilt kids. There was no hot water. But wiew was great. Generally it was the worst place I've ever slept if it wasn't for the wiew. But then the options were next to none.
80 HK $

Directions: On the top of the westernmost peak on the island. No buses go up there. Gotta walk or take a taxi.
