"Whitney Museum of American Art" Whitney Museum of American Art Tip by TexasDave

Building Resembles an Upside Down Pyramid
by TexasDave

This museum concentrates mostly on contemporary American artists. The building, resembling an upside-down wedding cake, was designed by Renzo Piano. Temporary exhibitions change out frequently and can include photography, paintings, sculptures, etc. A recent outstanding collection focused on the 'Summer of Love' psychedelic art from the mid 60's- groovy!
