The Chora Castle, also called Castro, has Venetian origins and it is now a shopping area.
The wall surrounding the fortress is pentagonal and has three gates. The tower protecting the fortress stands near the northwestern gate and extends in part along the western and northern side of the fortress.
The castle is always open, the Town Council organises traditional concerts and dancing close to the tower at night. A stroll in the small streets in the castle worths, both at night and during the day.
