GP Hotel (Hao3 Di4 Fang1 Shang1 Wu4 Jiu3 Dian4): "Excellent but Bizarre" Quanzhou Hotel Tip by ellyse

Quanzhou Hotels: 6 reviews and 9 photos

The name GP stands for "Good Place", reflected in the Chinese name of "Hao3 Di4 Fang1". It is indeed a good place to stay at!
Price range around 138-198 RMB, mine was 158 RMB.
It's walking distance to Guandi Temple, the Puppet Museum and Qingjing Mosque. Very convenient for sightseeing and getting around. There's a bus stop on Tumen Jie right in front of the hotel, IIRC there's a bus to Kaiyuan Temple but I don't remember which number it was.

Unique Qualities: A huge bed -- 2 double beds pushed together to make 1.
Clear glass walls for the shower room -- good thing I was staying alone!
Toilet was in a separate cubicle from the shower room, had normal walls, but frosted glass door with no lock.
No windows and everything is sparkling clean.
Extremely comfortable if you don't mind it being bizarre... or if you're a couple. ;)

Address: 1 Baiyuan Lu (junction with Tumen Jie), Zhongnan Shangsha
Price Comparison: less expensive than average
Directions: Opposite Overseas Chinese Hotel, there's a KTV with the same name facing Tumen Jie.
Phone: 86-595-28060000
Price: less than US$20
