Dusit Zoo makes for a fun day out, whether you're with kids or not. The place is quite large, and the animals are in enclosures (mostly not cages) with pleasant walkways and gardens inbetween - and quite a few kiosks as well so you can keep yourself well watered and snacked. There are also paddleboats on the lake, games for kids... We went midweek, and the place was quiet apart from a few school groups.

Figure at least a few hours for this place, which makes a nice break from the city. We took a boat to Tha Thewet and then a tuk tuk. Entry to the zoo was 100B each.

There is a central food court, with few English speakers around - but all have their basic menu with an English translation. Cheap and tasty...
