"Refresh yourself in the beach of "KIONIA"!" Tinos Island Things to Do Tip by INSULARIUS

Tinos Island Things to Do: 73 reviews and 162 photos

Kionia (from the Ancient Greek word: kion meaning column), is one of the best beaches on the island of Tinos.Sometimes, it can be a little bit more crowdy, due to the fact that is the closest beach to the Town of Tinos. It takes only 5 minutes by bus to get there, on foot should be around 20 minutes.

By the beach, you can visit the Archaeological Site of the Temple of Poseidon and Amphitrite, which used to be one of the most important sanctuaries of the Cyclades, during historical times.

On the village, which bears the same name and it is used, more or less, as a summer resort by the inhabitants of Tinos, you can visit the Catholic church of "Aghios Photodotis" (Jesus, the Light-Giver, what a special name!), a small, but "cute" church.

Address: On the left, leaving the Town of Tinos
