We were told that Tarragona has changed a lot lately. What used to be a quiet, beautiful and peaceful city has become an industrial and commercial capital. Its harbour has become one of the biggest in the Mediterranean Sea. But the Rombla Nova is proof that Tarragona has still preserved much of its provincial flavor.

We started at Placa Imperial Tarraco and walked our way up the Nova Rombla. There are trully dozens of restaurants and shops along the full length of the Tarragona Nova Rombla. However due to the popularity and sheer volume of vistors we found elevated prices and generally a lower level of service than you would experience in a less touristy area. For example, we had an icecream and each bowl was ?1,70 a piece! But anyway, forget about the prices, because for a tourists┤ first visit sitting on the Ramabla Nova with a jarro or sangria is an absolute must! We ended up at the Balcˇ del Mediterrani, a great panorama view point over th sea and beach, but also able to overview the Nova Rombla as well.

Address: Nova Rombla, Tarragona.
Directions: South of the historical Old Town, in between Plaša Imperial Tarraco and Balcˇ del Mediterrani.
