Snowdonia is a hiker?s paradise. It contains the highest mountains in England and Wales and some incredible scenery. Snowdon, at 1085m, is the highest peak, and attracts most of the visitors (there?s even a railway to the summit) but there are plenty of other challenging peaks. Though the heights of the mountains here might not seem too great, there are plenty of challenging peaks. Edmund Hillary and his team spent six months here training for their ascent of Everest - you could hardly get a better recommendation that that!
