"New in town" Amrath Grand Hotel Frans Hals Tip by Globies

As I live in Haarlem I did not stay in this hotel. However I do want to say something about the area where the hotel is located. Last few years this area was one big buildingsite. Apart from the Frans Hals hotel, a new courthouse was built, the old building of Johan Enschede, our former money printing company, has been turned into yet another hotel (Stempels it is called) and the whole area has been upgraded to a nice environment with bars and restaurants. All of this is located just behind the Grote Bavo and the area is a big improvement for Haarlem on the whole.
