Uno's Chicago Grill: "A more upmarket version of Applebee's" Top 5 Page for this destination United States of America Restaurant Tip by b1bob

I had never been to Uno's Chicago Grill before Lee gipper84 suggested it one Monday night. He accurately described it as a more upmarket Applebee's or Ruby Tuesday's. The food was much better, but there was no major price increase. The service was a little slow, but they were busy even on a Monday night. The air conditioning in the restaurant was turned to igloo. The portions were adequate. That is, I was full on leaving the restaurant but I was hungry again by bedtime.
Favorite Dish: I had the Tuscan chicken penne which consists of diced chicken, zucchini, red and green peppers, yellow squash and onions are sauteed in olive oil, tossed with sun-dried tomato sauce and penne. It was a very flavourful dish and those who judge the food by its look will note it is also very colourful. Even though pizza and pasta figure prominently on the menu, Italian isn't the only option. For example, they also offer mahi mahi or chicken with mango salsa.
