"Singapore's City Hall" Supreme Court & City Hall Tip by Aidy_p
Supreme Court & City Hall, Singapore: 5 reviews and 9 photos
One of the more iconic buildings in Singapore, the City Hall is a location where some wedding couples will head to for their photo session. Built in 1929, the building has a strong historical significance. It was at these very steps that the Japanese surrendered to the British. This marked the end of World War II for Singapore.
It also saw the first ever National Day celebration in 1966 where the steps were demarcated as a VIP seating area. The seating area provided a good view of the parade that was held at the Padang, or the field in front of the City Hall.
