Sarawak has some of the yummiest hawker food or everyday dishes I have ever tried. Don't get stuck eating the hotel restaurants or fast food joints but explore the local scene & try the dishes on offer

Favorite Dish: Some of my favorites include the Sarawak Mee Kolok, a yellow noodle garnished with char siew & wantan served wet or dry. The Kuching Fried Kuey Teow with seafood in tomato gravy is also a must.

Another local favorite is Sarawak Laksa, white noodles served in gravy & meat. There are numerous local dishes & treats that you must try

Comparison: less expensive than average
Price: less than US$10
