Chestnut Villa B&B: "Feeling home in the highlands" Scotland Hotel Tip by himalia11

The Chestnut Villa was the cheapest B&B that we stayed at, and we spent two great nights there. The owner was very nice, we talked a lot with her. We had not booked in advance and got a very big family room. The room had TV and as always tee making facilities, and you got some shortbread. Behind the house there’s the railway, but it seems that there are not much trains, we didn't hear any at night, only once one at 5 am.
You should order your breakfast the day before, and we just took the usual Scottish breakfast which was good – and as always too much! Next to the B&B is a hotel with restaurant & pub, very convenient.
From Muir of Ord, you are quickly in Inverness and at Loch Ness, and you can explore the Black Isles or the northern highlands from there. We did a daytrip to Ullapool, and visited some waterfalls on our way, but there’s much more to do!
