This is a bike event which is held in June each year. The race was first held in 1928 and begain in Menzies, which is 81 miles north of Kalgoorlie with 24 riders virtually doing the ride on what was pretty much a dirty track. The event changed its name a couple of times but today is known as the Menzieis to Kalgoorlic Classic. The route has also improved a great deal since then. The fastest time so far (2007) has been 2 hours 28 mins.
