Los Pajaritos.: "how do they do it?" Top 5 Page for this destination Almuñécar Restaurant Tip by malcolm.elwell

This is a very small bar in a side street in the old part of town. Look up the narrow street from the Calle del Carmen (perhaps) for the Estrella Damm beer sign. The beer is served in 200ml bottles and there are only fish tapas and the price is 1e! The tapas are excellent and the place is unbelievable. The bar is run by the owner who must do more hours than the European Directive stipulates. His wife is in the kitchen and they have some help from a young woman who helps serving and preparing. There are about 5 bar stools and four small tables. You can ask for a hand written menu on a napkin which gives the day's freshly prepared fish dishes. The place is very basic but not to be missed.

Update Sept.09. Still exceptional seafood tapas, beer and wine 1.20e.

Address: Carreta de Castillo (perhaps)
