The Tin Fish: "Great Food, Quick Service" The Tin Fish Gaslamp Tip by jeanie95tt

The Tin Fish Gaslamp, San Diego: 4 reviews and 2 photos

The Tin Fish is located along the rail tracks across from the Convention Center. We were attending a trade show, and since we didn't want the overpriced mediocre food offered at convention center, we set out to find a nearby quick-service restaurant. This place was very close and busy so we figured it must be good. Nearly all its seating is outdoors, perfect for the mild and sunny San Diego weather. On my first visit, I tried their self-proclaimed "famous" fish and chips. The fish was decent, but nothing spectacular - I wished the breading was crispier. The waffle fries were very tasty though, I ate all of them! The next day we decided to eat lunch here again, and I tried a grilled shrimp taco and a grilled halibut taco. The shrimp taco was very good, and the halibut taco was tasty as well. Again I finished all the wonderful waffle fries. Time to hit the treadmill!
