The salt and Hanse town Lueneburg, 1000 years old, offers for those interested in culture and history a variety of events and sights such as the town hall, the Luene monastery, the romantic waterfront, the German Salt Museum and the more than 500 year-old Kronen-Brauhaus zu Lueneburg with brewery museum. In the brewery museum with an exhibition of drinking vessels, there are also unique exhibits of the German beer brewing culture on display. The traditional brewery Zur Krone is the parent company of the Lueneburg Kronen-Brauerei dating from 1485. It is widely known as the origin of the art of beer brewing in Lueneburg and is the ideal setting for the consumption of good draught beers and meals typical for the region.
