If you´re a walker or hiker always check with the Visitors Centre before setting off on a trail. Ask about the hikes difficulty, water availability and most important weather conditions. Never hike or climb alone! Always wear appropriate footwear...it never is just "a stroll in the park"! thats dangerous territory out there if you dont respect it.
Medical emergencies and first aid given at the Visitors Centre all year round or call 911 for 24hr emergency service. The nearest hospital is in Panguitch which is 24 miles from the Park headquarters.
