Florians in Piazza San Marco is probably the oldest cafe/bar in Western Europe. Patronised by the likes of Lord Byron and later Ernest Hemmingway, Florians has that old world feel about it. When the weather's right, its just great to sit on the Piazza with a copy of a local newspaper
and listen to the orchestra. Coffee and cornetti dont come cheap here, but the cost is made up for by the atmosphere.
