"Achaboe Abbey" County Laois Tip by Leipzig
County Laois, Ireland: 5 reviews and 7 photos
Achaboe Abbey was built in 577 AD but became destroyed in mid 14th century by a fire. After restoration in the mid 20th century the abbey look like a beautiful old church without windows and a roof on. When you stand on the grounds you probably think of all the people who stood there before - kings, bishops and even plunderer.
Directions: in the south of Ireland
