Viceroy of India: "Indian restaurant worth visiting" Top 5 Page for this destination Viceroy of India Tip by Britannia2
Viceroy of India, York: 1 reviews and 1 photos
A little out of the main tourist area in Monkgate (not far from Monkgate Bar) and consequently that little bit cheaper. Therefore if you are on a budget a few minutes walk will save you some money. Very typical Indian restaurant that can be found anywhere in England but friendly staff and good interior.
Prices are ( in 2007) £6.95 for a main course and there are a good number of other courses available with appetisers starting at £2.00.
Favorite Dish: I can only eat very mild Indian food so am no expert but the food all looks well prepared and the deserts are also good.
Price Comparison: less expensive than average
Directions: Opposite the Job Centreplus office.
