dixie stampede: "myrtlebeach shows" Myrtle Beach Nightlife Tip by gch111

Myrtle Beach Nightlife: 17 reviews and 12 photos

The Dixie Stampede, had good food, average show. When you arrive for the pre show you are photographed, then ushered to a gift shop and then to a hall where you are seated on benches. The juggler/comedian was good. The drinks in this room are $4.25 in a 8-10 oz plastic boot. Peanuts or Popcorn will also be sold to you for $2.50 for a small 6" paper tray. We spent close to $100 for prefered seating and we expected the dinner, etc. to be the only cost. They came around during the show attempting to "SELL" the photographs to anyone that would give them $22 for the pictures in a paper frame. The food is served 1 item at a time from trays, and while is is good it is not great. The entire experience was a let done. Oh at the end the exit takes you back throught the gift shop. The was kind of like being at Six Flags after getting off a ride. We left with the thought of being in a "sales" environment. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND. "ONE the Show" at the ALABAMA Theatre was a lot better experience.
